Low stress and lots of support is the aim for residents at Presbyterian Homes Legana, which has a rural setting, providing care and accommodation to 106 residents at the recently enlarged facility.
The Legana facility is constructed as a “low stimulus environment”, maximising tranquillity in daily life. This is achieved through muted wall colours and music and a quiet atmosphere.
Every resident has their own room with an ensuite, plus the site included a spa and hairdresser room, large chapel and extensive landscaped grounds.
The rural setting means the facility is more spacious than many comparable urban centres and features large, airy communal areas with lots of windows for light. Residents have their own garden with raised beds to work in.
